The “Chocolate Islands” constitute an archipelago that has managed to preserve its spectacular plant diversity. The Organic São Tomé cocoa comes from a project run by Satocao called the "Outgrower Project" that aims to develop a centre of excellence for autonomous outgrowers. A project focused on respectful agriculture to highlight the soft and balanced character of the bean.
